There are Gods and Goddesses abounding (leaping out) in Ancient Greek myths. Think about how Gods were viewed and who the Gods were. Who in OUR society has "God" or "Goddess" status? Who do we treat in the same way? Why do you think we do this?
well many differnt cultures has god and goddess.To me i dont treat no one the same way as i treat someone else because it will just seem like its the same oh person who iam talkin to.
I think are society makes "celebrities"look like "Gods"&"Goddess". Society wants us to look up to them&do what they do. I feel people treat them like that because they are always being talked about&the spot light is always on them. To me they are just normal people,only thing differnt about them is that every step&thing they is watched by others.

dang i agree she might be nobody but a human that's a billionare human but you cant argue with that because society has made it seem that people with lots of money is able to be a god or something. i mean if you look at mel gibson will simth and some of these other actors they are creating their own religion why is that i have no clue but it's almost like they can do what they when they want and ever they want because society is making it seem like a god.
i think that rich people are gods and goddess because they can pretty much do what they want to do because they have all the money they need to the things they do. in my point of view i dont treat everyone the same because i only treat people the way they treat me.
i have to agree with icuras-lilic cause society does try to make celebs all important like lindsey lohan she should be doing more time in jail but since she is a cleb she gets the special prison
i don't really think we have any gods and goddesses of our time because nobody is worshipped in that type of way i think the closest thing to something like that may be a sports team like you said about the cubs when you were in wrigleyville. many people root for their team through good or bad

Just like the "Gods"&"Goddesse" celeb feel that they can get away with what ever they want and not get in much trouble. On the other hand if us "Normal" people did some thing like Lindsey Lohan we would be put always for years with no 2nd chances.

The reason we no so much about them is because they are all over the place!Theres t.v shows all about Celebs&theres Magazines. When your at the cheack out lane at the store,what do you always see on the stands? Magazines! Celebs lives are always being throwin in are faces.
I honestly don't think that their are ANY Gods nor Goddesses in our society. The only people that are treated like "Gods" or "Goddesses" are usually people like celebrities or mayors or someone of that sort....
