When we are blogging, there are a few things we need to remember. So, let's set some ground rules. I will make the first few general guidelines. Please comment and add any you think we need to employ (use).
1. Write only using the standard register--What do I mean? SMH. nt tht i dnt luv txting bt t tks me lngr to read t. As this is part of the class, it's ok for it to be conversational (in your voice!) but remember that what you say is public and shouldnt be anything you wouldnt say out loud.
2. Respond as often as you like. If mid-reading you get an idea in response to a post--write it up!
3. Stay on topic! The blog is for us to share about our reading and make connections. Be sure that you are answering the question asked, then you can ask other questions of the group!
Any more ideas? Rules we should stick by?

ReplyDeleteHm, Lee Brown. Do you think this follows Rule #3? You might want to phrase that as a rule--ie Everyone should wish Lee Brown a Happy Birthday in a post tomorrow.
